If you want to own these big machines and do work with them and have a dependable machine then be prepared to pay to run and maintain them, but you know this. Thats about right on the seal kits. Customers say "you charge allot" I then i show them this......then they agree.I found those just having trouble with the seal kits...

Totally, agree but seriously this is way out of control.... I will order the seal kits through Cat as I do not want to put shit in them....Rome you must work for CAT...If you want to own these big machines and do work with them and have a dependable machine then be prepared to pay to run and maintain them, but you know this. No I dont, but I still have tractors from 1966-1980 with 18-20,000 hrs on them and they have been maintained and operated like they should and are they are like new yet. We always replaced worn parts before they would destroy something else. Always was strict with oil change periods and grease. Rebuild heads, engines, transmissions, final drives, turbos, undercarriages, etc when needed and oil sampling.

Okay got a couple questions about this torque converter and transmission setup...
First, I see that on two connections the transmission goes directly or has lines connected to the torque converter....
1. The Transmission fill spout has a line that goes directly to the t/C I believe it is an overflow... (According to the book it is the torque divider Vent line)
2. Underneath the seat is a magnetic filter that also has a mesh filter that is directly connected to the T/C. (Book calls it Oil Supply line to magnetic strainer). This was completely clogged and was and had zero transparency(meaning mesh filter)....
I am looking for the scavenger pump filter and or screen... I do not see it but on the right side of the engine you have two filters for the transmission that are stacked on top of each other... And then to the left of that another magnetic screen filter... That was clogged as well.... So far I see 3 filters for this system...
Am I missing any other filters or screens????
I cleaned the whole system so I can see leaks and or understand it... Thank you let me know your thoughts....

I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
