Does anybody know where the screen is on the D9G That Old Magnet has referred to... I cannot find it in my service manual.....And is it in the petcock valve? I would need to drain which is not a problem the diesel into my reserve tank...

Happy New Years...

Your tractor may or may not have one.
If you take the fuel line off the tank valve and not much fuel comes out then drain the tank, take the valve out and clean it.

Something strange about the fuel line connections to the fuel tank.
Their showing the valve with the strainer not in the fuel supply line?????

Okay I give up where is it? My strainer that should be sitting in the neck of the gas tank is lying on the bottom of the tank...

The important thing is I get plenty of fuel coming out at the primary fuel filter. I just need to rule out the screen as if it has one then I know for certain it is partially clogged as the rest of the fuel system was prior to me changing out filters....

Just need to find the screen. The strainer as we are calling it sits just under the fuel cap and is the first line of defense to keep it clean.... The screen should be the second and is probably on the other end of the petcock? Not certain as I dont want to remove 180 gallons and not find it when I unscrew the petcock valve.... In addition both do not have the turn wheel just the center where you put an adjustable on them and turn them...

Hi bob it seems to me that a ton of diesel is coming out at the primary filter housing... I am thinking now that fuel supply is not the issue...

My only problem was when I went to bleed the system #1 injector was bone dry... Keep in mind this was with the fuel on position so it could make things different because of the pumps. I should say this was after I already bled it before and had it fully what I considered primed.....

Let's start over, do you have a lot of fuel come out of filter base when you remove the filter can ?
If you don't you need to check the shut off valve. They will plug up with or without a screen.

You’d think the screen would be the first thing to plug up rendering the fuel filters starved. Therefore no screen there. I wonder if the second screened valve is to feed an attachment? Or to screen clean fuel off until it plugs up enough to drain the tank via the plug?
Just some New Year’s Day hung over thoughts...

We were typing at the same time, open the bleeder wheel on the filter housing and pump the priming pump until you get straight fuel shut valve and check fuel gauge while pumping .should get pressure on gauge.
Open bleeder and crank engine with compression released should get a clear stream of fuel.
If you do shut valve and loosen fuel lines on injection nozzles and crank engine till you get fuel at nozzles .
Tighten line nuts while cranking and turn compression back on, should start.
Good luck

Hi Bob,

I did first have the fuel lever in the off position meaning governor lever pushed all the way forward.
I unscrew the primer pump and then unscrew the wheel and then pump until clear fluid meaning no air and close wheel and then I went to the top of the injectors and cracked three and have my father in law pumping the primer pump... Open the top nut on the injectors just enough to create a stream of diesel running out... Then I fired her up and nothing.... I am going to post a link to an updated video...

Here's my understanding of the tank ports.....The valve to the left (facing forward) is the valve with the screen. It's purpose is to drain off water, the screen prevents vortex formation which without it would more likely drain off fuel without removing water. The main fuel line shut off most likely has a stand pipe to prevent crap from getting into the line. If you wish to drain/remove sediment crap from the depressed section of the tank floor then removal of the drain plug would accomplish that.

George: the parts diagram I furnished shows the location of the screen.
