Our Ten has the same carburetor as yours, which I believe is correct, but a different sediment bowl. I believe the correct sediment bowl is all pot metal, as ours is. The bowl itself is also pot metal with straight sides and a cone shaped bottom with a drain valve underneath.
On ours, however, there are two shutoff valves, screwed into elbows which screw directly into the two tank outlets. Those have dark wire braided hoses, kind of look like brass or bronze, but are very old and dark, which thread onto them. Those hoses connect to a Y-connector, also brass, which connects to the fitting you have pictured on your sediment bowl inlet.
I think our fittings are original equipment and correct. If you could get a correct, all metal sediment bowl outfit with the Y, I think you won't have any interference problems with the air cleaner. I'll see if I can get some pictures in the next couple of days, although I have recently modified ours because our sediment bowl pot metal broke where the center post attaches, so I had to temporarily remove it and insert a simple brass pipe.
I hope this is helpful. The restoration is really looking nice and will be museum quality by the time you are done.
Pete.

My TEN has the duel inlet sediment bowl. I used 90 degree elbows on each inlet so I could cross the fuel lines coming from the fuel tank. Gives plenty of clearance for the air cleaner.

I won't tell the owner about the metal Sediment bowl. Lest he have me search for one...
I'll run a clear filter from the tank for the first fill to catch the crud from the tank that comes loose. Then take it off after.

Pat, what's the brass tubing to the left of the carburetor attached to the block?
What's the tubing for?

The black plastic tube is probably a coated temperature gauge line?
I would guess that he has a coolant drain on the brass tubing leading to the front of the engine?

The brass piping is a water drain for the upper engine block. I did try to put a temperature probe in that pipe but it was not accurate so I capped it off.
