Hello Caterpillar enthusiasts.

I am putting a Cat Ten back together here in Ventura County. The owner got it when he was 11 years old. It is serial no. 2829. He took it apart 25 years ago and it was sitting in a barn since then.

Working on the track rollers presently. The bushings are worn out on one side of the track. (The left track was taken apart).
Will be looking for washers, shims and pins.
If I need to rebuild the rollers, it was suggested I obtain oversize shafts that have an outer diameter of the most worn bushing and machine the other bushings to that size.

I hope to visit some Cat Tens that are here in California and have a look at them to make sure I put the right parts in the right places...

Looking forward to hearing from those of you who have worked on a Cat Ten.

I was able to follow the leads of other members of this forum who sourced a radiator core from fabricators in the Mid-west and Texas.
Thank you for your help.
Our local radiator shop charged $450 for the labor and replaced the gaskets and bolts.
The old radiator core was a two row and steel. New one was 3 row copper and aluminum.
$350 with shipping from factory. The sales looked up previous order by ACMOC member and gave me the same price.

Now I need to find a crank handle with an arm.

The barn mice did make a comfortable home in the upper radiator block.

What model of Eisemann Magneto was used for the Cat Ten?

Any out there that work and is for sale?

gv 4 eisemann, try to find one at ebay, or at a magneto repair shop

on a fifteen(?), halfway through the thread he has photo's of the rollers with the oversize shafts.
It will give you a concept of what you want to accomplish!

I'm not terribly far from you as far as antique tractors goes. About 2hrs south. John Matta can help with reproduction crank arms. He's in riverside. You can do a search on this site for his number.

Hi 025, John Matta no longer has the crank handles for the small Cats, they are all sitting up at Scott Hayes ("Droptube") in Oregon.

Found the end of the crank handle. Get it back from welder today.

They tell me..." the triangle in the casting should point to the front or direction of forward roll."
Just like on their tires...
