That last number 5 makes a lot of difference. The first number made it a 54 model but with 20A1455 that is a very late 56. There were #400 to 1459 made in 56. catskinner

hey thats cool kinda narrows down the build date to the last month or so in 56

More food for thought - I have 5U13753 with the long track frame and have 22" dia. spoked idlers (i.e. small diameter) with 33 link chains that are 25" across five pins. The adjuster bolt has about 1" before it is flush with the end of the adjuster nut.

Cheers,
Neil

well

had a tree in the pasture that got some damage from snow this year
the fence was behind it so we hooked a couple chains to it and pulled it away from the fence
and the building there in the back ground . the trees were leaning hart towards the building there was a total of 4 trees
the 977 did good till id got warmed up it still ran good but the clutch faded as it got good and hot .
let me know if yall can see the video i posted its on a facebook page

hey guys

its been a while since i posted on this 977 . but with recent events on the 933 clutch adjustment im really pleased with doing it .
i mean i think i have a handle on whats going on ion these old tractors and their clutch adjustment .

i need to work on the 933 brakes first . the clutch is doing great pulling hard .
if i can fix this 977 in the same manner i think ill have a working machine
im going to look into it this week i hope and see whats going on and then try and adjust it like i did on the 933

im really happy about the clutch repair and i was able to do it with only 6 beers haahah

thanks all for your support
cheers
Charlie
