Working picture time? We all like pictures.


ill get some mid week im off for a couple days and will be out doing some digging
i did some testing last Thursday the loader worked very well ,i have some issues with the charging system to sort out
and the starting switch.
the battery was very low 11.6 volts i put it on the charger it pulled it up to 13 volts
but i have not had time to check the alternator which i suspect to have some faulty wiring
it has 2 wires one is loose but im not sure if its broken something inside the housing or just stretched

also i did some digging behind the hog lot and got into some yellow jackets nest ,there on the list

hi all

i was just wondering what sort of maint i should pull on this machine 933f.i know the normal stuff oil and grease air filters
what im asking is more like stuff to watch for or things like when to adjust the clutch or tracks any info will be helpfull

im pretty new to the cat equipment scene and so far its awesome

also what about fuel should i run some sort of lube in the fuel for the valves?
im running regular diesel in it right now and have some valve noise when its under load ?

anyone know what the operating weight is on my old cat

im finding conflicting numbers any where from 17.500 to 19.000lbs

it has a bolt on counter weight under the fuel tank and battery box thst says 3k on it if that helps

it should give Grease and Lube intervals.
There should be a section that states to adjust the Clutch follow this procedure until "X" number of pounds is required to snap the clutch Lever over center. It also probably doesn't mention that you need to stand on your head while reaching down into the internal guts of the clutch housing to make this adjustment either after breaking half the bolts off that hold the floor pan down. (assuming this is a dry clutch)
BTW
While you are upside down with blood rushing to your head, also check the clutch brake.
As far as Rail adjustment while you are Lubing the rollers and picking dirt and stones out of the Links/Pads, check the slack of the Track across the top Roller by seeing if there is an 1-1/2" to 2" of clearance by lifting the Track with a suitable pry bar. (its pretty much what most CAT Manuals state)

i have already experienced the standing on my head thing trying to get to stuff ,its pretty tight down in there
the machine seems pretty solid far as i can tell
i guess i need to get a service Manuel
where would be the best place to pick one up ?

most of these pics are of the fence line some are of on top of my hill in the woods i just moved some dirt around trying to get a fluid feel for the machine
the other pics are of the little pond area i want to dig out for the cows

WOW, Is that dog for sale. It sure moved a lot of dirt. At least it was the only dirt moving machine I seen in the pictures. And the way he chewed that fence, rocks should be no problem. Have fun playing. ROTFL
