for what it's worth, my membership has been the best money I ever spent. I've had so much invaluable help from numerous wise heads and I couldn't begin to adequately thank them and the club facilitators.

Getting back to work, I renewed membership.

I feel like I have got quite a bargain really. For a $40 membership ($58 CAD) I think I got more than my money's worth of information. Nice to have the knowledge pool available in a friendly place like this.

Brand new member, and new cat owner here. I am not a member yet but I probably will be if I can get my dozer running. This forum is going to be a great resource for helping me getting it going but if I couldn't read the forum or have found it from Google searches I wouldn't be here. IMO if the things your club does do not draw people into wanting to become members maybe you should rethink what you are doing.

You are already requiring people to be registered to view attachments which means you have collected email addresses of potential members in return for them being able to use the forum. The email address of such a targeted group of users who you know own or have great interest in these machines should be worth gold to you and I guarantee you would have a fraction of those registrations if you put up a paywall.

if this club or forum sells my information name phone number or email address i will become an UN MEMBER so fast.

When I first needed to repair my D2 I had no idea what to do so I went looking for information. I landed on ACMOC. I asked questions, purchased parts and with a lot of help replaced my steering clutch. It was then I became a member. I felt that I had a responsibility as a thank you and to support the organization. I don't know if I would have been inclined to join if my initial access would have been limited.

I would like to suggest a free trial period prior to fees being charged thus allowing an opportunity to see what offered.
