I definitely have the vertical actuating rod

On reflection, I have concluded that the issue is the diaphragm has stretched and gone floppy - shitty NZ-refined petrol!
Diaphragm is only 12-months old

Have ordered a new diaphragm

I think I have that valve if it's the one I'm thinking of.

HI Wally, I'll take a look at the part # but it's the fuel valve changeover that sits just behind the carb. If you have one, I'll definitely take it and the associated connections between it at the carb. The line on my cousin's tractor goes straight from the pump around into the carb so I guess it's been adapted since the valve was removed by some unknown person. Let me know what related parts you have
