Had a bad spot in a valley on the new addition, after getting the ice out of the valley it turned out that one of the bad winds last fall blew a bunch of pine cones and needles in the valley and that is what dammed up the melting snow. Not a insulation issue at my place, I have 32 inches of blow in insulation in my rafters. Mother nature always finds a way to cause a person some kind of a issue.

I'm a tad confused. HOW did we get from discussing a D13000 genset to snow drifts and Mother Nature always causing issues???????????????

And what'z this 'snow' stuff that some of you are talking about??????????????????????????
