Hi guys
Here in Australia I have recently purchased a 212 grader and the serial number is 95c1 I was wondering if this is the very first one manufactured in Australia?
cheers Dan

Thanks Busso
I’m pretty keen to clean it up some more and get an original pilot motor back on it as someone has put a Honda on it as a substitute.

Thanks old magnet
There are not books here available for 95c so I might get a 9T book of eBay for it if there the same.

Hi Dan
For interest sake some pictures of the Honda setup. I know its not the correct set up but some thing like that could
keep a machine going. Here in South Africa parts and parts tractors are scarce. Freight from USA is more than the part.

95C #1 is 1955 Caterpillar Australian build and follows on from the S9T prefix built prior by Steelweld under licence to Caterpillar.

If anyone is interested I have found a way to bypass the Magneto coil for a horizontal style pony motor (may also work on vertical style). It can run an automotive 6v or 12v coil (with or with out resistor). If there is enough interest I will make a video.
