Hi,gvanhouten.
Quote from your first post in this thread:
"Well needless to say the guy was really insistant I sell her...."
Unquote.

I thought about this at the time but forgot to mention it. I'd be REAL cautious about anybody coming across to me like that, on two fronts:

1. After all the work that you have put into it, just what does he want it for? To beat it to death again?

2. I'm always 'reluctant' to let anybody else run my life for me.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

ha ha. I have to teach myself first. but she shouldn't object as it's an automatic transmission. She refuses to learn stick shift on the cars, let alone the Cats.

Thats great!! my wife loved to run my 941B--mostly when knocking trees down!! but then she stuck it in a swamp sunk up to the top track--found me and while crying thinking we lost it forever!! couple of hours with a chain saw cutting logs and throwing them under the track using the bucket to lift it and it was out

totally agreed Deas...this annoyed me immediately and i got all kinds of red flags!

now he needs it and can't live without her?  where was all this enthusiam after he run the wheels off it and walked away??  i seriously doubt anything has changed and this would only be a repeat of the previous gongshow...

Needless to say she is not going anywhere! I have a fantastic wife... She is super supportive and said hell know to selling her! She said after all that work and sacrifice we have not had time to even really use her for what we intended to do with her! I am blessed to have my wife so supportive.. She is amazing.... That D9G is like a family member! Some days we can't stand her like when she is broke but oh boy can she pull her weight when she is healthy.... LOL.....Thanks everyone for the support!

A happy ending for sure, and beginnings of new adventures maybe? Most peeps get their feet wet with a small crawler. You jumped right at a BIG one! Hats off to you. Great job. JM

I started with my D7G but has a grapple on it no ripper!  It is a great machine previous owner was meticulous and kept it top shape!  I was spoiled.  Needed a ripper and I heard about the D9G in the woods and said what the heck I will roll the dice! It paid off but took way to long 3 months atleast just to start it and get it out of there!  When I got it home thats when the fun becan with coolers, radiator, ect... Yeah I know that machine pretty well now... No expert but I know my way around the old girl!
