Took the day off work yesterday and went parts hunting at a local salvage yard. They had a handful of No. 12 graders. I purchased the Guide lights off them as my latest D2 was missing the two on the front. There were two lights that were a different style then normal as in they did not have the grills protecting the glass but everything else was the same. Were these more of a standard on graders?

We have a D4 5T with a Dakota blade on it, looks like the one on the D2, about the same vintage, added to D4 in about 1958-60 time frame. Thanks for sharing, Tom

Hi Team,
on most if not all machines the Lighting System was an Attachment.
The parts for which are found under the Attachment Index of the machine Parts Book.
At the Dealer we often fitted road lighting to graders and other machines and thus were ordered at the time of sale.
In later times the road lighting could be ordered direct from the factory and they fitted it on the machine during the build process.
Cheers,
Eddie B.
