I picked up another D2 this past weekend 5U8719 would make it a 1951 model. I called on the ad and as luck would have it the machine was located only 25 min away. The owner had passed earlier this year and the kids were selling some of his things. The machine has nearly new Berco rails and rollers. The blade appears to be a home built but somebody sure did a fine job. I had originally planned to remove it but think I’ll leave it installed. The pto was missing the linkage and lever but a couple minutes of looking around the shed and I was able to locate those. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a pto belt pulley sitting in a corner.
Here it is at its new home next to my other 5U.

Thats sweet! Keep it like that! That is a Dakota brand straight blade. My Dad had one on his Cletrac DDH.

That one doesn’t appear to have electric pony start but otherwise looks like a twin. Thanks for posting!!!
I just had to purchase those photos because I really like that one with the D2.
