ACMOC antique caterpillar machinery owners CLUB complete with local chapters local members who donate their time to be officers people that help each other out restoring antique vintage machinery and take them to Local and national shows to be around other like-minded people with the interest in vintage machinery. The forum is part of the club and yes it’s a club
I understand this, but I think a lot of people who are registered users on the forums are just that, forum users. They take no part in all of that other physical stuff that costs $$$. The vast majority of people on these forums are non-members and it will likely stay that way I think. If I as a non-member want to help out another non-member within the new framework, it will likely be more effective to tell them to hop on over to heavyequipmentforums.com or the like and start a thread there, as data exchange can occur freely.
I guess this brings up another question I had. Will non-members be able to put links in their posts? View links in others' posts? Because if the answer is yes, this is probably how many will circumvent the new rules of no attachments. Just use links to imgur or Google Drive as opposed to actually uploading attachments.

In answer to a question from the quote, it does look like links are possible and they should be turned off in my opinion. Don't take this BB for granted, compare it to several others, there is a reason they are the way they are, the members have an interest in them, donate if you wish, but support the club, and become a member.

I guess I agree, because people will use links as opposed to attachments, that's really how most other forums work anyways. However, if they do remove hyperlinks, the site really does become quite useless to non paying members, but maybe that's the way club members want it to be...

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
