I stopped by my buddies place, and couldn’t resist taking some photos to share...
I wish they were mine!
D8K and a 14A. The K is such a brute compared to its little brother. Both set up for pulling drawn rippers.
Very clean machines.

Can't help but ponder the history of that 8K and where it came from. Is it a 76V or a 77V frame number. Looks like an early machine with a few mods that wasn't abused or was rebuilt.

Thanks for clarification. I could never remember whether 77V or 76V was which.
Don’t own one myself, maybe that’s why!
He got it from the Hostetler Ranches Los Banos, California. Where Greg H. Got it, I’ll never know. Perhaps it was a former ATI rental machine? Very clean and super shape. Wally and Toph were hired out to deep rip
several hundred acres of old orchard and row crop land for winegrapes. Zero issues they said.

Maybe I’ll go back and look at the serial/Data plates to be sure. Not my tractors; I did have some shy ones hiding behind them, but these were prettier.

That's why I asked. ATI built (rebuilt) machines depending upon their need. Not unusual for them to convert a 76V to powershift or 77V to DD. As mentioned, the fuel tank and ROPS make her look like a late 36A. Whatever her origin, she's a good looking machine.

Those came out later. The first K-s had straight stacks. And to make things more confusing, there's the repowers where you see H-s and early K-s converted to horizontal exhaust.

It might not count for much but the decal looks like an H, not a K. It looks like it has a horizontal bar extending from the left vertical stroke. JM, you didn't get a shot of the serial #! : ) You know we all like that data.
Which part is the counter-weight on it? It doesn't seem to have a weight like the SA tractors have
Cheers,
