Though no formal declaration of war had been signed China and Japan were fighting through out 1937-8.
Kristallnacht (German pronunciation: [kʁɪsˈtalnaχt] or the Night of Broken Glass was on 9–10 November 1938. In my History classes we learned Kristallnacht was the turning point and the impetus for the starting of WWII and a formal declaration of war was prompted by the invasion of Poland in Sept. of 1939.
Sorry everyone but I paid big bucks for that Minor in History in collage and I so seldom get the chance to use it.
And yes, anal-retentive does have a hyphen ... my way of saying I have OCD?
