Would anyone know what year a 30 Best Tractor # 2036 would be?? The Motor number is 4344 - Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is a 2 speed Best.

Ted according to my serial number book the tractor is a 1923. That is a Best number

The engine shows to be a 1926 and that would be a Cat number.

The BEST 30 has a tractor number and a motor number
The higher number is a best 30 motor number not a caterpillar number Skinner

Hard to say with out seeing it. do you have pictures? Did you get the motor number from a brass tag like I posted?

The motor numbers are larger because engines were sold as power unites, same on Cat 30's and 60's

Yes there are both Motor and Engine number's on the same tag. Will try to post a poor photo of the Tag There is also another tag on the Transmission with another number. Hope they down load. - Ted </span>
