I have mine pull in finger-effort. It doesn't slip even when stalling the engine in 1st with the brakes.

The amount dust/dirt that is on the linkages makes a big difference in how a clutch snaps in. The U series Cats all had a case around the clutch to help with this problem I think,but still a possibility of gunk binding the linkage.



I operated a 4r D6 with a open dry clutch in very dusty conditions. The lever snap could change dramatically in several hours of operation from dust on the linkage. It once refused to release until it was washed off with a bit of gas and a shot of fresh oil.

May not apply at all in this case,..........but never hurts the old iron to clean them up a bit.
