To start a head land or strike out a new land I would always pick a land mark way ahead and stay on that till I got to the end of the field then after that you look wherever you want.

It was the first time using the 4 furrow plough, and whe were surprised how good the D2 was pulling it.
Ploughing straight is really somthing you have to learn! It were runs from about half a mile, we had a pole standing on the end as reference point to drive at.
