My favorite dozing jobs have always been building logging roads and landings. I still have a real soft spot for shearing brush in the frozen swamps and lowland making pasture for summer grazing. Nothing like shearing frozen alder at water level when its -30 F. The noise made by the tracks, the exhaust, and the brush is a soothing melody of snap, crackle, and pop.

Dunno who this guy is but I think I may need ter hava chat with him if he's gonna start stealin' MY expressions.

There are some slight differences between operating a dozer and trying to follow contours around a hillside. Mostly when pushing bulk material, you are trying to keep the dozer as level laterally as you can, vastly different from trying to reduce gear shifting by not climbing up and down hills when plowing.

Didn't have that problem anyway when I last worked on farms back in the early '60s 'cos it was all pretty gently rolling country, not like the land you guys farm around here.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
