I remember when he was going to pick up a train for the kids to ride on, that really showed such heartfelt gratitude he had for young ones. Heck of a guy!

I read this post and one day would like as planned to meet you guys and thank you.... The great thing here is by your comments you keep Glens life alive and ultimately his legacy... We have all lost loved ones but it is special when the dust settles you find his true loved ones and friends...

I too have a Glen-recollection. I first met Glen at the BOTW. I was standing on my own at the very far end of the earthmoving field that was just being opened up for the show by a pair of D8’s and 435’s. I had never met Glen before and didn’t know of him. This guy walked all the way down to where I was, extended his hand and said “I’m7-Puller, what’s ya handle?”. I wasn’t sure for a second then I clicked, of course, the ACMOC board. “OzPhil” I replied. He said “Can you run a Cat?.” I said “yeah”. “Good” he bellowed. Then we talked some then he strode off waving his hands in 5 directions at once directing men and machines opening up the dirt patch for the show.

Two days after the BOTW, Glen invited me to visit him in Petaluma. I was at Cajon Pass train watching at the time so I drove up to Petaluma, stayed overnight in the M6 and next morning day, met Glen at his yard. Despite having spent weeks of his time getting gear down to BOTW and running his business at the same time, he gave me nearly a full day of his time on a business day showing me around Petaluma, historic buildings, some of his jobs, his equipment models in his office and old equipment he had. Then he drove me up to Santa –Rosa to show me the Siamese D8 which was nearly completed. He introduced me to the Peterson Cat people and showed me all around.

Then we drove back to Petaluma for lunch at a diner and his son Kevin met us there too for lunch. When it came near time I knew Glen would want to get the lunch. So I went to the facility and on the way asked the waitress to put the lunch ticket on my card that I gave her and give it back to me on the way back out. That done, back at the table Glen called up for the ticket as expected but the waitress said “It’s already been”. Glen was motionless for a second or two then just looked at me, I couldn’t figure what he was thinking, I‘m not sure if he was pleased or otherwise, but I got him. It was the least I could do and I was happy I beat him to it. After lunch he showed me around more and we also looked at a large farm paddock as he explained that he one day, wanted to turn it into a historic dirt farm area and Cat museum. The phone never stopped ringing all day as he organised this and that non-stop, on the go all while he showed me around. He gave me nearly a whole day of hospitality and his time during a business day showing me around things that interested me. That’s my memory of Glen. RIP.

Several years ago I had a few PM's with Glenn. It wasn't CAT related nor of any personal nature, just something that came across the board that sparked mutual interest. He came across as a very considerate and thoughtful person-those of you that knew him are confirming that and doing by him well memorializing it.

Replied by Tractorboy1 on topic Missing Glen..........
I too miss Glen. He was a man with a plan! Generous in so many ways. A man who loved his Cats, and loved sharing his passion. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to be around him, he taught us all a lot!
Rest In Peace my friend!
