Just the shaft turns. I would replace that bushing and use sealant when you install the oil seal. I wouldnt worry about the dings in the housing but the bushing looks damaged. As long as the lip seal is flush with the outside you'll be fine.

You will have to remove the shaft from the housing though to replace the bushing. Squatch has good video how to do that.

Hey Rome. If that bushing doesnt move and just stays fixed there, you dont think I could iron those dings out on the edge of it and use some jb weld to fix it? I'm just wondering because the inside of it is smooth and those dings aren't real deep

Someone got chisel happy and probably didn't know what they were trying to do. That much chisel work is bound to leave metal fragments that can be very damaging. Make sure you flush it out well before installing the lip seal. The lip seal keeps the oil in and the top "O" ring keeps the fuel from leaking down into the oil.

I wouldnt worry about the dents, just the bushing surface. Make sure there is no areas that are deformed from the chisel marks.

Ok found one little small spot but who knows how long this thing has been that way either. I promise that I didnt do that lol. I've removed quite a few seals in my life but never pounded with a chisel.

Took some pictures at the tower after I removed the rubber seal that was leaking. See attached for pictures. Someone had talked about a fuel tube that gets pitted or rusted but i dont know if mine is that way or not. Help! Thanks for real!

The tube is in the third pic on the left side that fits in the housing, sometimes they get pitted. Looks like there was oil leaking from the lip seal on the pump into the filter housing. Check the drain lines from under the filter housing and for the injection pump, they get plugged.

Ok. Can I just pry that tube loose with a screwdriver or yank it out with pliers? There was some oil in the tower part and some diesel also. I guess it was leaking both out of those seals.
