Drujinin,

It is always on Father's Day weekend so June 15/16 this year. I was with Chum at the Santa Margarita Best of the West Show and he is definitely having the open house. I won't make it this year but maybe down the road. I had a great time last year. Definitely take it in if you can. "Neil" will be coming down from Rochester and I hope some other PA or NY folks show up. Chum does not advertise it so it just kind of happens. Just look up Duffy Corporation in East Smethport for an address. The playday is across and down the road a bit from the main business yard. He just bought and moved in a 4500 Manitowoc Dragline and was hoping to get it set up for the open house. That would be one reason for me to make a return visit!

Yes Drujinin. Weather permitting we will have our 9th annual show as always THE WEEKEND BEFORE FATHER'S DAY. This year that falls on the
8th and 9th of June. Hope to see you there.

Hi Jan. Lord only knows what I told you, but our Annual show is always the weekend before Fathers day.

Due to extream amounts of rain this spring we are not going to have the Manitowoc 4500 operational.

We can't thank you guys enough for seeing to it our gang had the VIP treatment during our stay at the 2019, Santa Margarita, B.O.T.W show. We all agreed it was an amazing trip! Everyone seemed to go way out of their way to be very friendly and patient with our whole gang!

To say we had a blast would be an understatement! Deas and Phil were very generous allowing us to run so much awesome equipment during the show. We honestly felt right at home!

Jimmy and I both gained a little over 10 lbs feasting on that wonderful south west cooking! Lol. We meet so many great folks and cooks while there!

The old D8 worked great for us. Can't thank you enough for arranging
to have it there.

We are very hopeful and if you guys would have us? We would return next year and help with the construction of the permanent impoundment.

Again thanks to all the wonderful people who made our stay absolutely outstanding! Sincerely, Chum......

Hi, Chum.
I have just had word that California is tightening up on its immigration laws. Seems that your mob and I are all gonna hafta forget our 'Inglese', brush up on our 'Mehicanese' and darken our complexions a bit just to be able to enter the state. Bob may also cut hisself off at the knees so as to not be too conspicuous.

If we can all get over that hurdle, we'd LOVE to have you back next year.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Thanks Chum!

Either way, (weather wise) We are going to stop over even if it is just to visit as we juggled schedules to get the RIGHT weekend off to come out. I told the wife this is on my Bucket List which is growing longer every year due to missed dates for Events.

Drujinin, Chum and the gang-

Dru - My bad! I guess since I was not coming, all I heard was a reference to Father's Day but remember it was the week before Father's Day when we attended last year. Oh well, you take your chances with telling an old man something that may not be recalled correctly. Glad you have your trip set up correct to attend. Make sure you take your appetite along as Chum's family has that addressed too! Don't be bashful about climbing on some yellow iron while you are there. Lots to choose from!

Chum - Glad the trip out to BOTW show went well for you. We were most pleased to have you out here and of course would love to have you back anytime. The rain and overcast was a bit of a bummer at times but we don't generally see that very often during the shows. I hope you are by now rested up from your travels. I also hope Bob did not suffer any damage in the storm which blew through Bradford while he was gone. That was unusual weather for back there.

You'll have a great time Joel, Chum and his family are excellent and generous hosts, and the range of equipment is superb. Today, NormD2 and I ran four D8s (2U, 13A, 36As), 2 D9s, 2 D6s, 2 D4s (a D4E for John G, and Chum's favorite), and my favorite, the 16 grader. There was also a D6T, a D7, the Northwest and Heiliner were given a run, and the Cletrac. Pete ran round with the 16 later on and hid everyone's mistakes.
Yours truly only managed to snap one scraper cable so not a bad day's tally. I don't think we all really moved much dirt but it was a lot of fun!

Cheers,
Neil

I'd like to thank Jim and family for a great day. Not much I can add to Neil's post (except he got my name wrong). The food and weather could not have been better. :thumb: There were even some "Future" operators that were doing a fine job.

What? No D8 14As? Had to be one there somewhere. Did Willie run the 80D Northwest again this year? Man I am jealous.

Don't forget folks, it is a two day event. Get your butts down there!
