That just aint right guys. Sorry you haven't been able enjoy the stories. I really like the one about the Military story and the T-35. From Fort Benning, GA to Fort Bragg, NC. It would be cool to try and find any of those guys that was on that treck, some tough one anyway, and what a story. John

Jeff, as always, you are a gentleman, however I am not so sure I could afford the interest rates you hoodlums from Nebraska charge. I guess I will just get my issue late and bit*# and moan about the NOS 2 Ton that somebody listed for $500 on the SW side of Chicago

P.S. GWH,.....and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting......

Well if getting the magazine out is anything like contacting them to put a ad in. You will never hear from them. I have been trying to reach a live person at the publishers about placing a 1/4 page ad. I have called and left messages, e-mailed them the ad asking at all times for a reply back and being polite. But I guess they must not be interested or maybe I call when they are on lunch or during coffee breaks. I guess I will try again tomorrow and see if any one is at home.

I wonder where the bottleneck is in the postal department that causes all the delays in the magazine? I received my last model airplane magazine, media rate, from Davis CA in 4 days. I received a model airplane kit from TN in two days (today) via Fed-Ex ground. 12 days and still counting for the ACMOC mag and it is mailed much closer than TN or CA!!

Jim, Unless you paid for First class mailing when you renewed your membership, it is mailed standard rate mail. This is the same way all the credit card offers, publishers clearing house, other sweepstakes offers and what most call junk mail is sent. I think most that get their magazine by first class mail are getting theirs within a few days. Standard mail does not get forwarded if you move and in bigger cities if your address isn't right will most likely not get delivered, because no effort will be made to find you. That is why it is so cheap. It is the last mail worked and at the bottom of the list of priorities. A lot of companies that send big volumes of standard mail will ship them to various bulk mail centers around the country to be distributed from there, instead of just dropping them at the local Post Office. There are companies that specialise in large mailings and will know the best way to handle them Most publishers can do this as well. I don't know what kind of company ACMOC uses, but if the plan is to change to periodical mailings I hope they are using a professional publishing company to handle this for them and not just someones nephew that knows someone.

By the way, the problem could be as simple as just mailing it to close to the CP Headquarters. LOL
Jim

Also, that last magazine showed our membership at just over 3000 I think. Is that right or a misprint? I thought it was much larger than that.
