Congratulations on your first post:)
Are you the same Kelley I have corresponded with on Yesterday's Tractors?
If the manuals are supplied by Jensales, they are pretty low quality, especially the illustrations involved with service instructions.....some are barely legible.

Your best source is to watch for originals sold on ebay. It's amazing how well the illustrations, paper and print hold up after some 50-60 years. (must be those lead based inks;) )

Next best is to get the reproductions from Cat Legendary Service Literature

O.M. is right, those Jensales manuals are nothing more than spiral bound, similar to an Ibico binding system, and are just photocopies, with poor print quality. And that would be fine, if the price reflected what they are really worth, and if they told you right up front what exactly they were selling you.

I sent them YTmag more then one e-mail asking about the details of what they were selling and believe it or not, not one response. Too expensive for what they are in my opinion.

E-bay, there are constantly good used manuals, Serviceman's Reference Books, Parts Catalogs and Operator Instructions, 3 basic manuals one should have, and maybe the one for the motor, they offer them for stationary engines, same as in the tractor, and applicable to the tractor, gen set, marine and other applications if the tractor engine was used for other applications, I have one for my D-8800 in the D7 and it has additional information that is of good use, besides the servicemans reference book for same.

Cat Legendary Lit. and a good used original far exceeds what Jensales offers for the same money.
