Magneto coil D2-5J

Magneto coil D2-5J was created by drujinin
I have been diligently, patiently working on getting the D2 running. I got through the carb only to find that the einsmen magneto coil had a melt down and doesn't spark. I got as far as taking the dash off today and gave up for want of a good coil and condensor. Insulation melted off and the outer coil slipped down on the inner coil.
Does anyone still make coils for this Mag?

The water pump is siezed and doesn't turn, any ideas or wisdom before I take stuff apart up there?

The oil cooler tubes set down in the body/frame and were covered in Michigan sand and moisture, which translates to they leak! Are there any replacements available or can someone tell me the correct name for the fittings and I will order some tube and bend them.
OR can I just bypass the oil cooler as this isn't a running working tractor for now?

On a good not great note, I think I got the fuel system bled by using air pressure and an old innertube. We towed it and the pressure gauge goes almost to the normal range. Number 4 injector was shooting steady as we had the lines really loose. couldn't tell about 1,2 or 3. I was towing it with the John Deere B and the wife was watching the injection system. We ran out of driveway before we got the rest of the injectors bled.

Maybe it would be just as cheap to find a used mag. and there is guys on here that sell some all the time. As for the filter yes you can make a circle & put it in where the lines go to the cooler. Some say they plug it off completely & remove the valve & spring from under the plate on the bottom of the filter base.If you want to you could try & heat the tapered ends of the pipes & remove those fittings & solder them on to some new piping even just to make a circle. As for the mag. a D4 has the same mag. & starting engine. As for the water pump the bearings might be seized so maybe it hasn,t been greased properly so sounds like you may have to remove it & repair it. Did you take the belt off & try and turn it by hand?

Martyn,
Thanks! If it comes down to shipping across the pond for repairs I will. First I'll try and exhaust the resources here on the Continent!

I can see my home email at work and have limited reply.
If I can see an email like yours, I'll print it and continue on.
If I am in the middle of a hot job, I don't have time.
My wife opens it at home, thinks its junk email and deletes it.

Hector, Any chance you have a D2 radiator cap in good serviceable condition?
If so, I would like to buy it.
