Anybody has more information on this T-T Tractor -Tank

That's pretty amazing. Even more so that they are equiped with "gas". It sounds to me like they mean Mustard Gas! I wonder what year that ad is from? It looks like a THIRTY FIVE or FORTY undercarriage. And yet the Geneva Protocol of 1925 (signed date, enforced by 1928) prohibited the use of gases in warfare.

When you zoom in on that tractor, the drive sprocket looks like it's 6" wide. It also shows teeth on the front idler!

That's quite the find Quad! Wish we knew more about it.

I noted with great interest, your message re the crawler tractor that could be made into a war tank in 2 hours, I would say that is was an early RD4.
Here in New Zealand, during World War 11, the N.Z. Government converted 3 "CAT" RD8, IH Series bulldozers into armoured tanks, complete with artillery etc. However, these machines were never to got to war, for the following reasons, they were underpowered for their added weight of armour, to slow, and generally just plain NOT practical.
The 3 of them who were owned by the Government Public Works Department, were stripped of their armourment etc and put back to work as bulldozers for the jobs that they were initially bought. Must have been a huge waste of tax payers money, and vertually no study done before the conversions were made.

The Serial Numbers of these tractors were - 1H 2989. 1H 3006 & 1H 3744

If yur gettin shot at, it would be a different kinda hot.......

only thing i would know is that i would be in there with a big ice cold beverage and lots more in the cooler, LOL

i set my cats up to pump the engine heat to the operator and i live where it is cold and don't use the cats when it is warm. so with my 12 years of schooling (doesn't mean i have grade 12, LOL) those machine must be very very hot inside and the fumses from the engine. OH MY!!!
