Serial Number Location on No 25 CCU (32E)

The serial number plate on my 32E series No 25 CCU is very badly worn, only the first 3 letters (32E) are visible.

Does anyone know whether the serial number is normally recorded on any other part of the CCU?

Is the serial number stamped on the CCU casing behind the plate?

Thanks, David

Hello CAT60,

You ask about the possibility, of the Serial No on your "CAT", model "25" cable control, being also stamped into the winch housing underneath the unreadable Serial No plate.
Owing to the fact that it was always Caterpillar practice to stamp the numbers underneath the plate in case of the loss of plate etc, therefore I would just about gaurentee that the winch will be stamped. Good Luck.

Sincere Regards
