Hi,
Is there a American source and color codes for Caterpillar grey and red? I've got a yellow 1928 model Thirty that needs to be made right. I found a earlier thread that listed a color code but it appeared to be a international source.

I use Dupont Centare Dark nutural I will try and find the numbers

According to C.H Wendel's note book the the Dupont number for Cat Grey is G9721 the red has a Ditzler number 33127

You can get the Federal Standard numbers someplace on this web site. I took them to a couple of local paint suppliers and they matched the color for me. I used Nasson which is Dupont's lower price line of Urethane. It is about the same price as Centari and holds up very well.
