I thought I had an operator's manual for my D2, but I have not located it yet. Now that I have a magneto ready to go I want to pre-mix some coolant before I head out to the D2 to fill it up. (I would just put water in it, as I am starting it for the first time, but it's been pretty cold at night lately and I don't want to drain it every day) So how much does the cooling system hold on the D2 5U? I would guess about 6-8 gallons by looking at it.

As it turns out I had two magneto for the D2 ready to go. I thought the one I took off it was not good, but it has been so long since I looked at it I forgot that I had already sent it in to the mag shop and had it rebuilt over 2 years ago... too many toys not enough time I guess...
