Need part number for R2 J oil filter

More

Hi,
I'm assuming that this is the oil filter for my R2 6J. My parts manual doesn't show a filter at all. Can anyone tell me the filter part number? Would it be the same as a D2 J series?
It hasn't been running for over 12 years and I've been soaking the cylinders with loose juice try to free up the rings. I want to change the oil before I attempt any starts.

Thanks
Pete

That style should use a 1R-0659 filter. Looks like it has been updated. The cap uses a 5B5937 gasket [seal]

Thanks Rome. The Cat dealer is about 40 miles away so I like to be able to ask with a part number in hand.

Might want to remove the old filter to make double sure and see if it has a number on it.

That's a good idea. I will do that when I get back to work on it.
Thanks

That would be the bypass type oil filter, he has the one with the hex nut and slot which is full flow.
