Yeah, Chevy should go with Cat engines in pickup trucks! Then they would really have a truck!

i was told once about a bloke who had repowered his landcruiser with a baby cat engine i think it was a v4 not too sure, im certain it was a 4cyl anyway. but it had more torque and a bit better fuel use than the 6cyl it replaced. he had also fitted a joey box aswell as the normal transmission. apparently there where some hills where previously he had to drop 2 gears and struggle at 75 kmh he could drop half a gear using the joey and cruise at 100kmh.
so that might work better than what they currently use. many of the post 60s and 70s engines arent cat but are perkins or perkins derived.whose claim to fame is the first high speed diesel which made diesels useful for motor vehicles rather than just farm equipment and ships.
