What is Wrong here?

Anyone see the same thing I am -
Looking for a trip to see the emergency room!

How many times I see someone starting an engine with a crank or bar, even a rope using improper and plain dangerous procedures..

NEVER - NEVER - wrap your thumb around a crank!  Always use the flat of your hand.
NEVER EVER - wrap a rope around your hand or wrist.
Never - stand over or in line with a bar or crank -   always think where it is going to go if the machine kicks!
NEVER PUSH DOWN on a CRANK or Bar -  Pull it over the top, if it kicks you will be falling away.

These are forgotten rules, learned by many and were in the operating instructions for proper posture and starting procedures.

he did do something right though a drop or two of oil on the crank is always a good idea. prevents jamming. ive seen it happen and its not fun from 10 rpm to 500 almost instantly luckily no one got hurt when it happened.

Thank you CTS for doing a much better job of saying what I tried to convey in the 22 thread the other day.
