Three Caterpillars from Rough & Tumble

I was going through picture files tonight and from these.

I thought they were “post worthy”.

Three Caterpillars from Rough & Tumble.

The two yellow ones are easily recognizable as Caterpillars.

Not so apparent is the Koering Dragline but it to has a Caterpillar engine in it also.

That’s all for tonight!

What is that very tall control stick in the 2nd picture (of the D6) used for?

Bill, the two yeller cats are sure pretty!

I think the tall lever on the 9U is for the blade control, tho I could be in error. I like the looks of the 9U. Would not mind having one myself.

My D6 9U also has a tall lever like that for the blade control. It's probably like that so you don't grab the reverser by mistake! :p

Nice lookin' equipment! Thanks Bill!

That right Joe, I can remember as a kid running one of those old D6's and the high lever was for the blade lift. I got a photo of me riding with my dad on that D6 when I was about 1 year old.

That lever position puts the lever sort of in the same place as rear mount #25 CCU levers. None of this fingertip control like now a days.:)

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D

Hi joe
Not intending to start another johnson bar thread but is the reverser the same as the johnson bar? They need to name the blade lift control the "bigger than the johnson bar" bar.
I need a d6 like that really bad. Does anydody have one they don't need?
