I have a 1955 Cat 12 8t15342 grader that has 1 of the rear hubs and spindles junk.  Mine has 9f327 casted into the hub.  Is that the only part number that will work on my grader.  I have seen some 9f326 hubs closer to me.  I would like to find 1 in Arkansas but that might not be a option.  

9f327 is the wheel casting number, 9F326 is the correct part number for your wheel assembly.

Bear in mind that those hubs are a press fit on the axle with a largish 'Porta-Power' style hydraulic press at something like 20 - 30 tons. I forget the exact figure but somebody here is likely to have it. Trying to hold them on with just the retaining nut will only result in you having some more junk.

Also, if the hub has been rattling around on the axle for even a relatively short period, you are unlikely to be able to get a good fit unless you replace the axle as well.

Yes, When I pulled the nut off the hub fell off. The hub itself is wore badly and the spindle matches. The key way in the axle is pushing 3/4'' wide and someone before me tried welding the keyway in and adding a bunch of shims on the outer side of the hub to get a better fit. Its all junk on that 1 corner

I have seen pullers set ups for removing the hub but have never seen anything for pressing it back on.  Do you no how they go about doing that??

I am open to correction on this as it has been nearly 50 years since I last anything to do with pressing a hub on a grader but I seem to remember that they screwed a fitting onto the thread where the nut goes and pushed the hub on with that.

I do not have the specs for pressing them on but I would be pretty surprised if nobody on this site has that information.

Unless you have access to the proper press gear and the specs, it might be best to get in touch with your local Cat dealer for assistance with fitting the replacement hub.
