I’m not sure how a motor grader steers, but we have an Adam’s 124S (all the way to the right) and the front knuckle is frozen. It’s turning whatever attaches the ball inside the kingpin, but not swiveling inside the joint. Did Adams make manuals like Cat? 

Yes they have manuals. Let me dust mine off but first a history lesson. JD Adams Co (Adams) was purchased by LeTourneau (R.G.LeTourneau), they were friends over the years. Adams was the first patented Grader in 1885 with the "Little Wonder" which was powered by horse, mule, oxen or men. In 1919 an Allis-Chalmers tracto r, Hi-Way Patrol No. 1, was  modified with a Galion blade on the first Motor Grade, A a year later JD Adams and a multitudes of other companies were making Motor Graders. Adams was also the first to use the industries standard front wheel lean.
