you can run a segmented fan belt in a pinch. i had one i put on just to get me back to the shop and replaced it 10 years later.... with another one.

Good idea at least I would have a spare until I get a new one.

thats the parker racor style ive used those too. easier to get them to seal than the delphi style which are a bit finicky due to multiple seals and parts.

as another suggested segment belting is ideal as you can make belts of any length. it can also work out cheaper than having to order in a special belt. some machines actually use it from factory. as it is sold by the roll or by the meter and why carry 10 different size belts when you just buy 2 or 3 different roll of belting.

also as the belt stretches you can simply remove a segment to adjust the belt and no need to unbolt things just to change a belt simply back off the adjuster & split the belt to fit another. any good bearing or industrial supplies joint will have segment belting

I will definitely give the segmented belts a try.

Thanks Craig I'll add that to my list of things to order.

I'll second what was previously mentioned about supplying the Cat parts counter help with an already sourced p.n. When I started doing that my results took a huge change for the better. Although, I did get one good laugh one time watching the parts man have to dust off the folder of microfiche film, clear off a place on the counter, and plug the microfiche reader in to power to find what I was needing. All I could say was sorry fellas, my D6 isn't a new 6T. As far as fuel filtration goes, in my opinion, there are never enought until they're all needing changed at once.
