Your Webtech committee has been working hard to create new features to attract new members to our club.
Last night, AdCo, our Website partners implemented several of these initiatives.

1. We have updated the "Interactive" map on the Chapters page to also show the location and names of the various Chapter leaders (click on the ACMOC logo in the map) as well as individual members. This map is also available now on other pages of the website.

2. We have implemented a "Library Index" which is located in several places in the website and is designed to give potential members as well as members a quick and convenient overview of the documents in the Library. Follow the link below.

3. We have implemented our first "Machine Landing Page" for the Cat D2 tractor. The idea is that we have one page which gives a new or prospective or even existing machine owner much information about this machine, Many people find our site because they are searching the internet for information on a Caterpillar machine, and the machine landing pages are designed to give them some information about their machine and to encourage them to join our club. Go to the link below and then click the yellow "Read More" button.

This idea is down to Kurt ( FroghairFarm ), who created the template for this first page.
We intend to roll this concept out to many more machines and invite experts as well as non experts on particular machines to help to create these Machine landing pages.

Finally these new features are accessed through a new yellow menu bar on the home page and I hope shortly on the Forum page(s).

Machines - Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club (acmoc.org)

Hi Deas,
The records (lines) in the index are designed to show what documents are available in the library but not to link to them.
We want to be able to show prospective members what documents are in there so hopefully they will decide to take out a membership whereupon they will be able to access all documents in the library.
We believe the library is a big benefit to members, but for non-members before we created this index there was no way to see what they were missing out on ! 

It would be REALLY GREAT  to have some help creating more machine landing pages for the website.
We have a "Template", i.e. the sheet for the D2 tractor which shows what is required, although feel free to add additional information of thought helpful to new members.
It would be nice to have landing pages for all the popular machines being restored as this will draw in more (financial) members to our club.
