Hi, Folks.
I don't think R. G. was the only 'architect' of this control arrangement seen onna D7 7M tractor deep in the wilds of Santa Margarita Ranch.

Enjoy.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Hi, Folks.
Phil Gowenlock, a man who speaks FLUENT LeTourneau and has written several books about R.G., sent me a photo of what might be the 'base model' for this conglomeration.

From the ag side they "married" the most popular brand of hydraulics in Calif from back in the day, Bee-Gee brand.  Bee-Gee was the most popular way to add hydraulics to ag tractors from 1930 to 1970 in Calif. Once tractor manufactures started building hydraulics into the design it was all down hill for Bee-Gee. But they built a mount for Minneapolis Moline wheel tractors that made it look factory. Some others where rather neat as well on the wheel tractors. Very simply to add a unit to the rear of crawlers if you did not have cable unit there already. And if you did, you get creative and we have what Deas showed us.

Do we have a real historian of things Bee-Gee to correct me if my mind has wondered again. But the larger size was the earlies design, the in the late 40's they came with the smaller size pump seen here. Used with the large size tank and control valves.  So was that because it was handy or did they have a reason. I guess we will never find out.

Thanks Deas

Hi, Ray54.
Thanks for that bit of history. I think I have seen WAY more BeGe hydraulic stuff over here than anything else - don't remember ever seeing one DowNunda though.
