Hi, Folks.
The rescued D9D dozer had an air-cooled master clutch. That is what the separate pre-cleaner and snorkel on the right side rear of the engine is all about. Thanks to Bob Bergman for this information. It also had an ATECO hydraulic hinged ripper.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

I may be losing it but it is my understanding the 18A is standard oil clutch with air cooled brakes and steering clutches. Not air cooled master clutch.

OM, I just checked my 18A/19A service manual and you are absolutely correct, you are not losing it. Those tractors have air cooled brakes.

Hi, Folks.
I 'know' nothing about these beasts beyond what I have been told so I'm gonna let others 'duke' it out about the air cooling. It may even be that I misunderstood what Bob Bergman told me.
