Life must be really tough for you and particularly your having to endure ACMOC.  I wish there was some way I could help you out with life’s problems. One way I could help out is to sign up my neighbor to ACMOC and then it would offset your leaving the club. Your last 20 or so posts are so over the top negative that it should be a relief for you to go elsewhere.  The only non-negative posts you make are when you want to sell something so that means you are a taker and not a giver.  I really do not ever intend to get involved in “spats” but your posts are so repulsive and uncalled for that you should be banned anyway if you choose not to leave voluntarily.

When someone tries to help you it is never good enough and you ridicule them for doing so.  My 2 cents.

I will say something: Not everyone is as polished and collected as some; Although I do not agree with the abrasive manner he may come across to some, I shared many of the frustrations he endures. Bmr, in the sense that he gets very little sleep and has to go out on service calls in sub freezing conditions at all hours of the day and night. He also has a clientele that expects results, and gets tensed, but he does live up to his obligations to many (myself included). Not always a rosy picture. His happiness? Wrenching on his iron with the boys when they can have family time, which I understand is rare.
While many of us are enjoying ourselves in front of the TV or a warm meal, he is out busting his rear to make everyone happy.
He does remind me of myself in my younger days; kill myself to benefit others, for what rewards?
I also began to think, that if someone does not care about my business or my dedicated crew of drivers, why should I care about them?
No need to buy gift memberships to replace his departure, I have done that several times over. Unfortunately not everyone received them...
Lets all take a deep breath and enjoy life, as it is too short. JM

I echo Juicemans thoughts. It’s quite clear that Bmr has been thoroughly frustrated. Sounds like others are as well. While the tone was pretty bitey, I appreciate him bringing attention to the problem. Bmr could have simply went off never to be heard from again, but he chose to speak up. I have no clue or suggestion as to a remedy, but surely there is one that can be found.

Regards

It sure sounds like the Office and Mary are swamped, and it is not a recent issue, I had assumed, wrongly obviously, that the new computer upgrade was going to solve a lot of the problems, but what it appears might have happened, it has actually worsened the problem, and don't forget, we went from 2 full time Office staff, to just one.

Surely there must be a ACMOC member or 2 living within 50 miles who could step up and help Mary get caught up, because I bet it is breaking her heart to be in this situation of public shaming and slamming, and feeling like she is letting everyone down, and to be reading about it here on the BB week after week.

As a highly respected employee of ACMOC, we have both a legal, and moral responsibility, to do everything in our power to ensure Mary gets the support she needs, to get through this tough patch.

Can someone please step up over there, and be part of the solution, even if it's just a few hours a week assembling orders for shipping, or helping with a end of year stock take.

I think I know Yanks pretty well, having lived there for 6 years, without doubt some of the most generous and supportive people on the planet, and this letting a woman drown, in public here on the BB, is not the American behaviour I'm used too seeing, nor want to see continue.

If Mary was my Mom, or wife, or daughter, I'd be wild about the situation she is in, enough is enough, it's Christmas for crying out loud, so how long do we need to chew the fat on a critical issue like this for it to be addressed?

As if dealing with Covid and other natural disasters like fires, floods, droughts and tornado's the past 2 years hasn't been enough to smash us emotionally, physically and financially?

Thank you Mike Meyer for your post in support of Mary and her stellar efforts in keeping the membership happy. Inevitably, things slip past her just as they do me in my everyday life. We are all human and are not perfect. I have not seen any prior posts from BMR as I have not visited the Forum as often as I once did. I am busy elsewhere.

For those here who are experiencing problems, please know that a recourse is to contact one of your directors (we are all listed with our contact info on page 2 of the magazine) or you can reach us with "board.acmoc.org" where the entire board of directors will see it. We work for the membership as volunteers and only wish that all members are being served to the extent we can do so. This can serve to help Mary as well but in order for us to help her, we need to know there is a problem.

In the last month or so, we have been criticized here on the forum for adding an additional part-time employee in order to assist Mary. I think the phrase was "here we go again." in the post opposing additional employees. Well you can't have it both ways. The board recognized that Mary is overworked and has tried to remedy the situation. I came on here to explain the reasoning for our action.

Bottom line- if you are having difficulties within our club organization, please feel free to contact your Directors. Our Website Director has asked that all who post here abide by the Forum Rules listed above. I encourage you to do so as well. Venting here and going off in a huff without first attempting to use every avenue for remedy, should never be the answer.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and he very best in the New Year!
