Do they make glow plugs pre cups for the D13000 in the D8 2U? Part number?

Never had glow plugs on the D13000. Pre-heating was done by manifold heaters back in the day.

Hi Team,
engines with flat seat injectors that fill the pre-chamber opening do not leave room for glow plugs to be fitted to said chambers hence the manifold heaters and from memory either capsules were used--that's why the pony engines are used to warm and condition the engine for a cold start.

In the Antarctic it could take 8 hours to warm a machine from cold for a start.
The Australian ANARE Team used Eberspacher diesel/kero heater units and a thermal blanket over the engines to warm them before using the pony to start the main.
In this day and age there are cooling system and oil pan electric screw in heaters available. A cold pre-chamber engine in fair condition, within limits, will start without  glow plugs.
Cheers,
Eddie B.
