Early D2

Picked up this D2 today. I've been eyeing it for quite some time now. It was in a local vineyard about 1/2 mile from my house. It was missing a track and the other had only a bolt in the track link. Had trouble getting it to roll so I went ahead and removed the remaining track. Unfortunately the main engine seems to be stuck. The pony doesn't turn ether but it does just a little bit. The pinion and engagement clutch is all stuck engaged. So I believe the pony to be free but the main is keeping it from turning. Two weeks ago I picked another wide gauge D2 parts machine. I believe I will have most everything I will need to morph something together. This has mismatched numbers and it's actually a 3j that's been converted to a wide gauge. The final drive housings are a OD green color. I drove several hours Saturday to pick up a real nice set of tracks. So far I got about $900 into this project total. I have no plans to work this machine but I definitely like having them run if they occupy yard space. I'm definitely running out of space collecting these old cats. The last two pictures are of the parts machine. A freebie!

Our inhouse computer expert "Neil" has been trying to find a decent set of rollers and frames for his D2, I wonder if you will have a good set spare from your 2 tractors, it wouldn't be that hard to move them across country with Neil's many buddies on ACMOC helping.....

The rollers I know I'll be using for this project but I definitely have a extra set of track frames. The gentleman I purchased the tracks from has two D2s he's parting out. He's got a good pony engine and a PTO available too. Here's his listing yubasutter.craigslist.org/hvo/d/oroville...llar/7404924325.html

These are the machines he's parting out. From what he said the orchard model has steering clutch issues. I purchased the tracks off of this one.
