Hello all.  With great sadness I report the passing of Dick Lloyd, long time ACMOC member and founding member of Chapter 14. He simply went by Dick on the bulletin board. I’d known Dick since I was about 13. I’d call him and ask questions about Cats, he would tell me about the old days of farming with three lungers and RD7s.  Some might remember the pictures of Dicks D7.5.  It was a direct drive D7E that he put a D8H engine in.  It was strictly a farm cat used for pulling a big no till drill.  If you’ve seen the ground power Holt combine at the best of the west show, Dick Lloyd was behind getting that combine down to California for restoration.  Dick sold lots of Cat parts and manuals all over the place.  I will miss his smile and wire rim glasses and mostly the great stories.

 Sorry for your loss BP. Mr. Lloyd sounds like he was one heck of a neat old guy and a great neighbor. I hope he lived a full life, and his memory a pleasant one. JM

I have talked with him a few times, Nice guy, He told me they grew mustard in his area.

Bruce, I'm so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I just sent him a Christmas card.
