D4 7U 40464 spotted this tractor doing some work for a customer around 2008 or so. Wouldn’t sell it. He called me and wanted me to get it started around 2017. It was a mess. Rat crap and lunch debris covered all of the seat area. And aluminum foil stuffed in every nook and cranny around the motor🙄  After cleaning the garbage off, I found the frictions totally submerged in water but levers did move. Big engine was free but stiff.  Pony engine nearly stuck. No spark of course. It was a mess. I told him I had doubts without major work. So I drained the frictions and got everything loose and fire and fuel to the pony and got it and the big engine running. Then went to see if it would turn. After taking all the free play out of the friction adjustment (and well beyond) for max travel, it broke loose👍 
  I then told him that if you want to save this tractor it needs to go to work. If not, those frictions will freeze for sure due to the frictions now being exposed to oxygen. He moved it to another ranch and there it sat until last Saturday😳 By now, the friction levers were totally frozen. We drug it out of it resting spot with a D4 D and pull started it. Fired right up (previous work ya know)😁 Got it to the trailer and lined it up with the trailer and backed it on with no issues. 
 Got it to the shop. Sunday I went after the frictions and after a difficult struggle with heat and porta power, bars and muscle etc I finally got movement out of one lever and soon it had full movement. Same for the other side. Got the pony fired up and got big engine fired. Now, how lucky am I ?? Pulled the left friction and it wanted to turn, a little more pulling snd stomping and it was free (ultimately I will change everything) went to the right side and it came loose. 
 So, after not being on this site fir quite a while, I never stopped working on these Old Cats. The 5 roller, big idler is not easy to find around here anyway,  But  I finally got it. I will eventually convert it to direct electric and restore it as soon as I can. Long post, I’m making up for lost time here 😁😁 Now let’s see if I can load the pics.

TD, Looks like your patience paid off!! Looks like a good tractor to work on especially with the 5 roller frame. BTW what ever happened to the white coveralls?

That has been one of your biggest and NICEST catches lately, and not a fish story! Maaaaan omaaaan, I can truly say I am envious of it. Quite a difference between this one and the “Dino Don” exported to ID via here.
The patina is just right too. Any plans of her getting a little makeover? You’ve done some seriously gorgeous restorations that are worthy of showing some folks here.
Now that you have photos dialed in, you may as well share a video of her barking away next!

Welcome back. NICE catch. There were not a lot of 5-roller, large idler units made - good to see one more saved from the 'slow boat to China'.
