D486 automotive engine is 2120 lbs, does not include starting engine, and has a smaller flywheel and bellhousing, I would guess about 2500 total.

The D6 5R has a D4600 engine. Weight is around 3100lbs.

4600 has 4 1/4 bore, D318 has 4 1/2 bore?

I can't say about the D318 but the D4600 is the 4.25 inch bore.The D4600 was used in the D6 4R/5R and the D318 was used in the D6 8U/9U series.

OK< THANKS< clears the smoke out of my head. Never could follow Cat engine number series. Why they were what they were.
