Hello gang: I decided to start up one of my 9U's from its two year slumber. The clutch is dry type. I need to use some brake cleaner and hose off some oil I see, which I assume affects the performance of the clutch brake. 
I do not have my books  available, as I took a chance and loaned them out, never to get them back.
Could someone please give me a quick tutorial on how to adjust, if the cleaning doesn't help it? Is it just adjusting the linkage? Do I just remove the left floor plate?
I don't have any issues with the main clutch, seems to have plenty of "snap".

I tink you need to removed the small plate cluch housing and check the collar facing are't to worn but not sure you can see maybe you need to removed the to cover cluch housing.

Hi JM,
the main clutch (MC) linkage length is set at the Factory and should not be changed.
If i recall correctly there is no adjustment for the main clutch brake side of things.

As Hector said above check that your MC brake linings are serviceable in regards to lining thickness as best you can guess--oil you mention being present is most likely your issue--if not get back to us and we will see where to next.

Just a whiff is all it took. I used some starting fluid and let it air out a couple of minutes. Buttoned it up and gonna give her a bath tomorrow.
Amazing how such a small amount of oil residue would mess things up.
 

Hi Juiceman, nice picture of part of your "fleet"

I ended up moving several out of the old shed just to be able to get the 9U out. Yikes! Good time as any to fire some off and circulate the oil, etc. The dozer will likely go to a new home in Sonoma County. I need to thin the herd just a bit. Thank you Angelo. JM
