that is true Deas. i have used the dragline to strip overburden when the topsoil was to be stockpiled and reused a few times and also striped and load into carriers that then took the soil far off of the site.

i suggest you wear a proper respirator with dust filters or the old stand buy for dusty conditions the damp neckerchief changed and rinsed often and a face shield nothing worse than dust and grit in your eyes. all dirt contains silica which over time will damage your lungs. thats my grandfathers problem he carted sand, gravel, road base and sugar with the occasional load of coal for 35 yrs and he had his own sand n gravel truck before that and used to spall rock for the gravel then load the truck by hand air conditioned cabs just didnt exist
