I need a need a clutch disk for my 14A D-8 or have the one that was in the machine built up. The adjustment was all the way in and still slipping badly.  Any information anyone can provide on where to purchase one or if and how they can be built up.  We have it out of the machine just not sure what type of material they use on these.  It is similar to break lining.  .

If it's like my 5U clutch disk, you get the lining material that the clutch shop uses these days. Your local brake and clutch shop should be able to take care of it for you. They glue them these days so don't be surprised if you don't see rivets in it.

Thank you Neil, my dozer is actually a 15A with a torque converter.  It has a single disc clutch.  I am wondering it the thickness would be the same as the clutch plates for the 14 A?

Probably - everytime I take a plate in to be relined, they just put on "standard" linings and it always works out. I want to say 1/4 or 3/16 seems to be standard. If 1/4 for example is twice the current thickness of your plate, then it's probably close enough. Someone that's actually swapped one out might have some more intel for you, but that's the direction I'd take if no more useful information was forthcoming

That looks like a nice place to get new clutch discs. My uncle is looking to rebuild this D8 14-A and it might new some major parts including the clutch. We'll just finish installing the bumper and truck shocks on the Silverado this week before we take a closer look at the D8.
