well after sitting a year in the heated loader shed due to covid 19 lock downs that killed the money tree causing us to burn the dead tree to heat the house. today i was able to pop the head off on the 922 loader to see the head gasket was blown on #3 cylinder which i was hoping it was a head gasket not a cracked cylinder head. i was happy and started cleaning up the parts to make a wish list for when the money tree blossoms and i can buy the parts. of course i broken the glow plug on #2 cylinder which i had to perform magic and got lucky with it coming out. but then again i used never-seize in 1994 when i installed them new which must have helped. 
any suggestions on where to buy parts??

i suppose there is no dealer anywhere near you. but that would be my first thought is try the nearest dealer.

your may be able to make a gasket out of klingertite or similar material i have done that for small engines dont know if it would would work in your application. there is several grades and brands of pretty much the same stuff. you could also make one out of annealed copper sheet i have done that before and i sealed it with hard setting aviation gasket cement after cutting the sheet you re-anneal it and after it cools you carefully coat it with cement and install. some older engines had copper gaskets then they went copper asbestos.
yep never seize is your friend even good old grease works well too anything to keep the moisture and rust at bay.

try googling the part numbers i have had success that way in finding what the current pn is as some stuff doesnt come up in the cat system.

The 922 has a normally aspirated D330 engine according to my parts book for 94A1-94A3929. The head gasket part number is 5M-5837 and the glow plug part number is 3T-9562. Both are available from Cat or for a fifth of the price on ebay.

thank you Philc, those numbers came up on ebay no problems. but i tried the part number for a gasket kit from the 1969 parts book and for some reason after 50 plus years Ebay did not like the number. 8S9686 basic, 8S9695 supplement is what my parts book shows. one of those show include the o-ring for the pre-cups and injectors plus valve cover gasket too.

My 1968 parts book is showing 5S6964 for the basic and 5S8596 for the supplementary but if you're only working on the head then a 5S8598 Valve Grinding kit would be better.

Burt Monro used to pee on his lemon tree. look where he ended up???

i was able to get the head gasket and seals locally at the cat dealer 1200kms to the south. the gasket kit is not made any more as a valve or top end kits so the parts had to ordered separately. everything landed in the Kingdom was $550.00 cdn with 2 head gaskets because i know the price will go up on them in 25 years time. put the 922 loader back together in heavy rain while parked in it's little loader shed. then today in the sunshine we finished off the machine and fired up no problems. no leaks and used the Green Toy to help put the forks back on since it was 15 months ago when the forks came off in a hurry to get the loader parked in it's shed because the engine died. thank you for all the help but that is what these BB are for.
